So what is Cheese Rolling anyway?

Okay, so a huge wheel of cheese is thrown down a hill and everyone chases it. The winner takes the cheese and two ski-season passes to Whistler Blackcomb.

Of course, that’s just the beginning. The whole festival includes family activities, games, tastings and lots of fresh ways to enjoy Canadian cheese.

The English have been doing this for centuries on Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, and now Canada has made Cheese Rolling a tradition as well. We host tasting seminars, bring in cheese experts, run games and of course, we lay out a beautiful spread of delicious Canadian cheeses to taste and buy. It’s a whole festival of cheesy delights, Canadian-style.
