Even for those who decided not to chase the cheese, there was still plenty to do at the Cheese Rolling Festival. Everyone cheered for their favourite cheese roller. They tasted a wide variety of cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk from local producers. Kids participated in uphill races and other fun activities. It was fun all around, even for those who didn't come home full of dirt.
Cheese seminars
Always wondered what makes aged Cheddar so crumbly? Or why Swiss cheese has all those holes in it? Cheese specialist Wolfgang Stampe of Dairy Farmers of Canada will answer your questions and share his knowledge of cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk. Hosted at 12:15, 1:15 and 2:15 pm.
Canadian cheesemakers
Meet these cheesemakers and more from across the country and try a wide variety of 100% Canadian cheeses: Natural Pastures, Little Qualicum Cheeseworks, Arla, Cow's, Village Cheese, Damafro, Fritz Kaiser, Abbaye St-Benoît and Fromagerie du Village.

-
Uphill races
Between the adults' downhill races, kids can race up the cheese rolling hill for prizes and glory. Free event T-shirt for our little racers!
-
Cheese bowling
A kids' favourite from last year returns: Rolling your cheese through a challenging obstacle course.
-
Cheesy twist
It’s like that game you love, but circles are replaced with wheels of cheese.
