Even if you choose not to chase the cheese, there are still plenty of things to do at the Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival.

Need a ride? The Excalibur Gondola in the Whistler Village will be running for free starting at 11:30am to take people to the festival.

Cheese Seminars

Always wondered what makes aged Cheddar so crumbly? Or why Swiss cheese has all those holes in it? Cheese specialist Reg Hendrickson of Dairy Farmers of Canada will answer your questions and share his knowledge of cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk. Hosted at 12:15, 1:15 and 2:15 pm.

Here are just a few of the things you’ll be able to do at the Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival: taste a variety of cheeses made from 100% Canadian milk from cheese makers across Canada, learn about Canadian cheeses in expert seminars, cheer for your favourite Cheese Rolling contestant, or let your kids participate in uphill races, a bean bag toss, tattoos, balloons, photo cut-outs.

Cheese Rolling is fun all around – even if you’re not going round and round down a hill.

  • Uphill races

    Between the adult downhill races, kids can race up the cheese rolling hill for prizes and glory. Free event T-shirt for your little racers!

  • Cheese bowling

    A kids’ favourite from previous years returns: Rolling your cheese through a challenging obstacle course.

  • Cheesy Twister

    It’s like that game you love, but circles are replaced with wheels of cheese.

  • Face Painting

    Put a smile on every kid’s face.
