So what is Cheese Rolling anyway?
Okay, so a whopping, 11-pound cheese wheel is thrown down a hill and everyone chases it.
On the way down, racers lose their footing and end up tumbling, rolling, sliding and bumping down. Traditionally, the first person to get down the hill to the finish line wins the race and the cheese.
The English have been doing it for centuries on Cooper's Hill in Gloucestershire, where daredevils come from all over the world to take part and thousands come to watch. And now the event is a Canadian tradition too, with thousands of people turning up to watch the cheese rollers brave the hill each year.
It was a great day on the hill for everyone involved. The cheese rollers ran and tumbled. The crowd cheered. The winners went home with Whistler Blackcomb Winter Season Passes and a Cracked Pepper Verdelait cheese wheel from Natural Pastures Cheese Company. And everyone had a taste of amazing Canadian cheeses. Check out the winners and photos of the event here on the site, and catch up on more of the action at the Canadian Cheese Rolling Festival Facebook page.
